Koh He East Cape - Similan Islands
Koh He East Cape makes for a mellow dive, a nice antidote if you’ve been bouncing around some of the more current-swept Similan sites. We usually hit this one in the late afternoon, when the light catches the soft corals just right. It’s a shallow spot, topping out at 15 meters, perfect for beginners or anyone who just wants to take it easy and really look around. You’ll drift over a sandy bottom dotted with bommies, home to plenty of anemonefish defending their territory, and often see some blue-spotted rays tucked away. Keep an eye out for ghost pipefish too, they blend in incredibly well here.
