    StandoutExceptional marine biodiversity

Koh Tachai Reef, not to be confused with the Tachai Pinnacle, offers a gentler introduction to the Similans' underwater world. It’s mostly a sloping coral garden, perfect for those newer to diving or looking for a relaxed afternoon. We’ve drifted along here, spotting schools of yellow-stripe snapper darting between the brain corals, and often found a grumpy stonefish doing its best impression of a rock. Keep an eye out for the occasional reef shark cruising in the distance; it’s a calm backdrop for a first-time Similan dive.
