Racha Noi, Banana Bay South - Similan Islands
Banana Bay South, on the eastern side of Racha Noi, is a pretty straightforward reef dive. We usually start shallower, around 5-7 meters, and then gently slope down to the sand at 17 meters. It's a nice, easy drift along the coral bommies and hard coral formations, perfect for newer divers or those who just want a relaxed second dive. You'll see plenty of the usual reef fish here – parrotfish munching away, schools of snapper hanging out, and often a few blue-spotted rays resting on the sand. It’s a good spot to really practice buoyancy and just cruise.
