With 173+ marine species recorded in the area - including blacktip reef sharks, eagle rays, giant moray eels, whale sharks and clownfish - Richelieu Rock offers some of Similan Islands's richest pinnacle diving. Water ranges 29-31°C, warmest April, May, June.
Richelieu Rock is a horseshoe-shaped pinnacle, rising from the seabed to just below the surface. We usually find it’s a magnet for pelagics, with massive schools of fusiliers and trevally swirling around the rock itself. It’s a great spot for macro too, look closely for seahorses and ghost pipefish tucked into the crevices. Expect currents here, making it best for experienced divers.
