Why dive here
With 173+ marine species recorded in the area - including blacktip reef sharks, eagle rays, giant moray eels, whale sharks and clownfish - Rocky Point offers some of Similan Islands's richest diving. Water ranges 29-31°C, warmest April, May, June.
Rocky Point, on the Similan Islands, is a decent option when other sites are busy. The landscape here is mostly huge granite boulders, some stacked precariously, creating interesting swim-throughs and small caves. We often see reef sharks cruising the deeper sections and common Similan residents like lionfish and schooling fusiliers among the rocks. It’s a good spot for newer divers, or for an easy second dive, with generally mild currents.
