Tha Tang Lake ขุมน้ำบ้านท่าแตง - Similan Islands

Tha Tang Lake, or Khum Nam Ban Tha Tang, is a bit of a departure from the usual Similan granite boulder dives. It's shallow, topping out at 8 meters, making it an ideal spot for beginners or a relaxed second dive. You won't find dramatic drop-offs here, but instead, a gently sloping sandy bottom interspersed with small coral patches. We’ve seen quite a few juvenile reef fish seeking shelter, and it’s a good place to look for smaller critters like gobies and blennies if you take your time. If you’re not chasing big pelagics and want a mellow dive, this is a solid choice.
