With 173+ marine species recorded in the area - including blacktip reef sharks, eagle rays, giant moray eels, whale sharks and clownfish - Tonsai Wall offers some of Similan Islands's richest wall diving. Water ranges 29-31°C, warmest April, May, June.
Tonsai Wall might not grab headlines like some of its neighbours in the Similans, but it’s a solid, easy dive. Dropping to a gentle 14 metres, this wall is a fantastic spot for newer divers getting comfortable with depth and buoyancy. We often find a good mix of smaller reef fish here, think anemonefish darting amongst their homes and maybe a moray peeking out from a crevice. It’s a relaxed site, often with minimal current, making it a great place to slow down and really observe the details of the reef.
