Line Reef
Why dive here
With 113+ marine species recorded in the area - including dugongs, grey reef sharks, humpback whales, sea turtles and tiger sharks - Line Reef offers some of Coral Sea's richest reef diving. Water ranges 25-30°C, warmest January, February, March.
Line Reef in the Coral Sea is a solid choice for divers looking for classic reef exploration. We've found the coral structures here really impressive, with plenty of overhangs and swim-throughs to navigate. Expect to see a good mix of pelagics cruising by, alongside the usual reef inhabitants like parrotfish and angelfish. It's a comfortable dive for intermediates, but experienced divers will find plenty to keep them occupied too.
