With 154+ marine species recorded in the area - including hammerhead sharks, sea turtles, tiger sharks and napoleon wrasse - Fin Reef offers some of Great Barrier Reef's richest reef diving. Water ranges 24-30°C, warmest January, February, March.
Fin Reef offers a good cross-section of Great Barrier Reef corals. We've seen healthy plate and brain corals here, often with parrotfish grazing. It's generally a calmer site, making it a good option for newer divers getting comfortable with reef navigation. If you're after a relaxed dive focusing on coral formations, Fin Reef delivers.
