With 154+ marine species recorded in the area - including hammerhead sharks, sea turtles, tiger sharks and napoleon wrasse - Fison Reefs offers some of Great Barrier Reef's richest reef diving. Water ranges 24-30°C, warmest January, February, March.
The Fison Reefs offer a solid example of what the Great Barrier Reef is known for: healthy coral formations and consistent fish action. We’ve seen good numbers of parrotfish munching on the corals here, along with the usual cast of reef fish like fusiliers and angelfish. It’s a good spot for a relaxed dive, suitable for most experience levels looking for a classic reef experience without strong currents.
