John Brewer Reef sits about 70km offshore from Townsville, a solid day trip destination. We typically find a good mix of hard and soft corals here, with plenty of reef fish flitting about. It's a solid choice for certified divers looking to spend a day on the outer reef without too much current drama. You’ll usually see a few green sea turtles cruising by and maybe some reef sharks in the deeper sections.
