With 154+ marine species recorded in the area - including hammerhead sharks, sea turtles, tiger sharks and napoleon wrasse - Miles Reef offers some of Great Barrier Reef's richest reef diving. Water ranges 24-30°C, warmest January, February, March.
Miles Reef offers a solid Great Barrier Reef experience, typical of the outer reefs. You'll find good coral formations, plenty of anemonefish, and we’ve often seen reef sharks cruising the deeper edges. It’s a reliable spot for divers looking for healthy corals and common reef inhabitants, suitable for most skill levels.
