With 154+ marine species recorded in the area - including hammerhead sharks, sea turtles, tiger sharks and napoleon wrasse - Noddy Reef offers some of Great Barrier Reef's richest reef diving. Water ranges 24-30°C, warmest January, February, March.
Noddy Reef offers a classic Outer Reef experience, with sprawling coral bommies and a network of swim-throughs. We’ve found plenty of reef sharks cruising the deeper sections and often spot turtles resting on the plate corals. It’s a good spot for divers who enjoy exploring varied reef architecture rather than chasing pelagics.
