With 154+ marine species recorded in the area - including hammerhead sharks, sea turtles, tiger sharks and napoleon wrasse - Waterwitch Reef offers some of Great Barrier Reef's richest reef diving. Water ranges 24-30°C, warmest January, February, March.
Waterwitch Reef offers a solid Great Barrier Reef experience. We’ve found decent hard coral formations here, with the usual suspects like parrotfish and small reef sharks cruising past. It’s a good spot for divers looking for a reliable, uncrowded dive without any extreme challenges. Visibility is generally good, making it a pleasant, straightforward dive.
