Why dive here
Outter Reef Bommies is a reef dive where divers can encounter humpback whales and tiger sharks. Water ranges 21-29°C, warmest January, February, March.
The Outter Reef Bommies offer a series of large coral heads rising from the seabed, often around 15-20 meters deep. We've found plenty of pelagic action here, with whitetip reef sharks often cruising by and schools of trevally darting amongst the bommies. It's a good spot for competent divers looking for a bit more current and bigger fish encounters away from the sheltered lagoon.
