Why dive here
The Spit is a dive where divers can encounter humpback whales and tiger sharks. Water ranges 21-29°C, warmest January, February, March.
The Spit is a good shore dive from Exmouth, often used for training or a relaxed afternoon dip. We’ve found plenty of reef sharks cruising the sandy bottom and the occasional wobbegong tucked under a ledge. It’s a pretty easy entry and exit, so a nice option if you're looking for a simple, convenient dive without much fuss. Suits newer divers or those wanting an unhurried poke around.
