North of Sydney, the Cod Grounds is a fascinating spot, a series of rocky pinnacles and ledges where we often find grey nurse sharks. They tend to hang out in the gutters and caves here. It’s a deeper dive, so suitable for experienced divers looking for larger pelagics and a different kind of topography. Strong currents can be an issue, so we always check conditions before heading out.
