With 199+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, bull sharks, dolphins, dugongs and great white sharks - Mermaid Reef offers some of Sydney & New South Wales's richest reef diving. Water ranges 18-23°C, warmest January, February, March.
Mermaid Reef offers a gentle dive, good for newer divers or a relaxed second tank. We often find wobbegongs tucked into the rocky ledges and nudibranchs grazing the sponges if you look closely. Visibility can vary with the swell, but even on an average day, it's a pleasant spot for an easy swim amongst the corals.
