With 199+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, bull sharks, dolphins, dugongs and great white sharks - North Evans Reef offers some of Sydney & New South Wales's richest reef diving. Water ranges 18-23°C, warmest January, February, March.
North Evans Reef offers a fairly accessible reef dive off the New South Wales coast. We’ve found decent coral patches here, home to smaller reef fish and the occasional wobbegong shark tucked under ledges. It's a good option for divers looking for a straightforward, undemanding dive when bigger boat trips aren't on the cards. Visibility can be a bit variable, as with most Sydney sites, so pick your day.
