SS Tuggerah - Sydney & New South Wales

The SS Tuggerah is a solid wreck dive just off Sydney's coast, a good option when you want something a bit different from the usual reef spots. She's a steam tug, sank back in the 1950s, so she’s been down there long enough to become a proper home for things. You'll find plenty of resident wobbegongs tucked into nooks, often a school of yellowtail scad swirling around the superstructure, and the occasional eastern blue groper nosing about. Penetration is limited, but there's enough open deck space and features like the boiler to keep you engaged. It's a nice easy dive, generally protected from swell, making it a good pick for newer wreck divers or when you're after a relaxed single tank trip.
