SS Undola - Sydney & New South Wales

The SS Undola is a deep wreck, sitting upright on the seabed off Sydney, and it’s a site we always enjoy for a challenging dive. This steam collier went down in 1918, and what’s left of her offers some fantastic penetration for experienced divers – think engine room and cargo holds, though silting can be an issue so proper training is key. Her structure is completely encrusted with invertebrate life, drawing in yellowtail scad, kingfish, and plenty of smaller critters tucked into every nook and cranny. It's a deep dive, usually around 50 metres, so it’s definitely one for the technical crowd who appreciate a bit of history and the marine life it now supports.
