With 199+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, bull sharks, dolphins, dugongs and great white sharks - The Igor offers some of Sydney & New South Wales's richest diving. Water ranges 18-23°C, warmest January, February, March.
The Igor, off Sydney, is a shore dive site best suited for experienced divers comfortable with tricky entries and exits. Expect to navigate a rocky foreshore before descending onto a seabed of scattered rocks and sand. We often find wobbegongs tucked under ledges here, along with the usual eastern blue groper. Visibility can vary, so pick a calm day with an incoming tide for the best chance of a clear dive.
