Flinders Pier - Victoria

Kondey Kandu, up in Vaavu Atoll, is one of those Maldivian channels that really delivers if you like a bit of a ride. We often drop in at one end and let the current do the work, drift diving at its best. Keep your eyes peeled for grey reef sharks, leopard sharks, and the occasional silvertip cruising through – the south of the Maldives is famed for its bigger visitors, and Kondey usually gets the memo. Depths run to about 28 metres, and when the visibility is pushing 27 metres, you get some great views. It's a solid pick for divers who enjoy a lively current and want a good shot at some pelagic action.
