FV Lena - Western Australia - South

The FV Lena, sitting upright in just 17 meters, is one of our favourite wreck dives in Western Australia, especially for newer divers. What we love about her is how accessible she is, even on a breezy day. The stern section is particularly engaging; you can often drop into the hold and poke around, seeing light stream in through gaps in the hull. Look for the resident western blue devils darting through the wheelhouse, and keep an eye out for schooling yellowtail scad swirling around the mast. The wreck is slowly breaking down, but it’s still very much intact enough to feel like a real ship rather than just a pile of metal. We always recommend trying to get there early to beat the crowds, as it can get busy with dive schools. The visibility can be patchy, but on a good day, it’s a brilliant dive, offering a fantastic sense of exploration without any real challenge.
