The team at Bunbury Dive are a genuinely friendly bunch, running their trips out of the local marina. We really like their focus on the MV *Lena* wreck. It’s a great piece of metal, sitting upright at 18 metres, covered in colourful jewel anemones. We’ve had dives there where the schools of yellowtail scad were so thick you could barely see the bow, just a shimmering wall of silver. You'll often find blue devilfish poking out from under the collapsed sections, and we've even spotted the occasional Port Jackson shark cruising past. They also hit the Bunbury Artificial Reef, which is always interesting for octopuses and cuttlefish hiding in the concrete modules. Visibility can vary, especially after a big weather system, but on a good day, it’s a really relaxed dive. We'd suggest checking their forecast before booking, particularly for the *Lena*, as calm seas make for a much more enjoyable experience getting out there. They run a solid PADI operation, perfect if you’re looking to get qualified or just want to hit some local spots with experienced guides.
