Radar Reef - Western Australia - South

Radar Reef, off Rottnest Island, is one of those reliable spots for a relaxed dive when the conditions are playing nice. We generally find it’s a good choice when the wind picks up a bit, offering some shelter. You’ll weave through small coral bommies and plateaus, often spotting wobbegongs tucked into crevices and a good scattering of colourful reef fish like western butterflyfish and the occasional blue-lipped emperor. It’s not a thrill-a-minute, deep-reef exploration, but for an easy, pleasant dive, particularly suitable for those newer to Rottnest or just wanting a chilled afternoon, it hits the mark. We've had some particularly clear days here in late summer.
