La Passe de Dumbea is a drift dive through a channel in Prony Bay. You’ll typically see reef sharks, barracuda, and schools of jacks riding the current. It’s a site for those comfortable with moderate drift, offering a relaxed way to cover ground and observe larger pelagic species. The currents can pick up, so it's one best done on a good tide for a smoother ride.

    Safety Notes

Drift dive - carry a surface marker buoy (SMB) and stay with your group. Brief the current direction before entry.
