STANIEL CAY EXPRESS - Nassau & New Providence

The Staniel Cay Express, a fishing vessel deliberately sunk back in 1975, makes for a straightforward wreck dive. Resting upright at 60 metres, it’s a site for those comfortable with deeper profiles, but the overall character is more relaxed than dramatic. We’ve often found schooling grunts sheltering in the superstructure, and the occasional loggerhead turtle seems to use it as a navigation point. Its age means the wreck is well-integrated into the reef now, with coral growth softening its edges, offering a different vibe than the more recent sinkings around Nassau.
