STANDFAST II - Salt Island & Cooper Island
Standfast II, a 13.7-meter yacht, makes for a nice, easy wreck dive, sitting upright in just 6 meters of water. She caught fire back in 1989, burning right down to the waterline, so what you see today is largely the charred hull, a testament to her fiery end. It’s a fun little explore, with plenty of openings to peer into where the cabins once were. We often find schooling snapper taking shelter inside, and a surprising number of juvenile drum flitting around the exposed frames. It's a shallow, relaxing dive, perfect for warming up or for divers getting comfortable with wrecks.
