The Invisibles - Virgin Gorda & Anegada

The Invisibles. That name tells you a lot. These aren’t easy pinnacles to find or dive, sitting submerged between Virgin Gorda and Anegada, but for advanced divers, they’re a standout. We’re talking about a proper drift dive here, where you’re flying along a series of impressive coral heads that drop from 8m down to 30m. The current is your friend here, pushing you along and, more importantly, bringing in the bigger stuff. We’ve seen huge schools of French grunts and yellowtail parrotfish swirling in the blue, and triggerfish darting about. Keep an eye out for graysby and hamlets tucked into the elliptical star coral and boulder brain coral formations. It’s a site where you really need to be comfortable with your buoyancy and your dive computer, because the ride can be exhilarating. Our favourite part is just letting the current carry you, feeling that momentum, while you watch the reef slide by. It’s a site for divers who love a bit of adrenaline with their reef exploration, and who appreciate the raw power of the ocean.
