María la Gorda, Cuba

Club de Buceo operates out of María la Gorda, a quiet corner of western Cuba. It’s the access point for diving in the Guanahacabibes National Park, home to 41 named dive sites. We’ve found it’s a good choice for divers wanting a relaxed pace and plenty of bottom time, often with a focus on reef exploration and wall diving. Expect an older, simpler setup, but competent guides who know the local waters well.
