Why dive here
With 250+ marine species recorded in the area - including barracuda, humpback whales, nurse sharks, orcas and sea turtles - Rondana offers some of Punta Cana's richest diving. Water ranges 27-30°C, warmest September, October, November.
Rondana offers a solid reef dive off Punta Cana, good for knocking the rust off your skills. We've seen plenty of nurse sharks here, often tucked under ledges, alongside the usual Caribbean suspects like parrotfish and grunt. It’s a comfortable site for newer divers or those looking for a relaxed multi-level profile, without strong currents to contend with. Visibility is generally reliable, making for easy navigation around the coral formations.
