Valan’s Wall, Carriacou - Carriacou
Tiger Wall, off the pier in Vaavu Atoll, is exactly what it sounds like – a wall dive where you might just spot a tiger shark. We usually stick close to the reef, scanning the blue water for those big shapes, and keeping an eye out behind us too. It’s not just tigers; we’ve seen grey reef sharks cruise by, and sometimes a whaleshark glides past during migration season. The wall itself has its own charm, with plenty of small, colourful fish darting into crevices, seeking shelter from the channel current. At a maximum depth of 25m and with average visibility around 26m, it’s a site for divers comfortable with a bit of current and ready for some serious pelagic spotting.
