Plongée Passion - Diamond Rock

Plongée Passion at Diamond Rock is a site we’ll always make time for. Sure, the Rock itself gets all the glory, but this lesser-dived spot on its leeward side is where the real magic happens, particularly if you’ve got a good eye for the small stuff. We typically drop onto a rocky slope that levels out around 20 metres, then spend the dive slowly working our way along the wall. What makes it special? The sheer density of fish life, for starters. You’ll find schools of French grunts and Bermuda cones so thick you can barely see the rock face behind them. Look closer, and that’s where the fun really begins. We’ve spent entire dives here spotting unusual finds – Spitlure frogfish clinging to sponges, or the delicate patterns of a Padded clingfish. It’s a site that rewards slow diving and meticulous searching. The currents here are generally mild, making it perfect for photographers or anyone who just wants to soak it all in without being rushed. We’d suggest a morning dive, as the light catches the schooling fish beautifully then.
