SUNSHINE ISLAND - Tobago
Sunshine Island isn't your typical deep wreck; it's a shallow tanker, about 55 meters long, sitting upright in just three meters of water. We love it for an extended safety stop or a relaxed second dive. The wreck itself has become a home for all sorts of reef fish – parrotfish graze on the hull and we often see schools of snapper hanging in the shadows of the superstructure. Because it's so shallow, you get fantastic light penetration, really showing off the colours of the corals and sponges that have started to cover the metalwork. It’s a nice, easy dive, perfect for photographers or anyone who just wants to take their time exploring a historical site without the pressure of depth.
