VASILLIA EXPRESS - Tobago
The MV *Vasillia Express* is a seriously cool wreck. She’s a former car ferry, deliberately sunk in 2004, and now sits upright at a very comfortable 28 meters. We love a wreck that you can truly get inside, and the *Vasillia* delivers. You can fin through the car deck, picturing the vehicles she once carried, and even poke your head into the bridge if you're comfortable with a bit of overhead. For us, the draw here isn't just the structure itself, but how nature has taken over. Look out for the resident green moray eel, a chunky fellow we’ve spotted more than once peeking from a porthole. Schools of horse-eye jacks often swirl above the deck, catching the light as they move, and the entire exterior is fuzzy with sponges and soft corals. It’s a great dive for anyone with their Advanced cert looking for an accessible penetration without going full technical. We’d suggest going in the morning if you can, before any afternoon chop picks up and muddies the visibility. Just remember to watch your buoyancy, especially inside – silting her out is a real shame for the next group.
