With 458+ marine species recorded in the area - including barracuda, eagle rays, humpback whales, nurse sharks and oceanic whitetip sharks - Sprat Hole offers some of St. Croix's richest diving. Water ranges 27-30°C, warmest August, September, October.
Sprat Hole sits at a comfortable 16 meters, making it a good spot for newer divers to get comfortable. It's a fairly mellow reef dive where you’ll usually find schooling fish darting among the corals. We often spot nurse sharks tucked under ledges and plenty of smaller reef fish here. It’s a solid choice for a relaxing afternoon dive.
