HYBUR - Lighthouse Reef

The Hybur, a motor vessel that ran aground in 1973, offers a different kind of dive for Lighthouse Reef. It's not a deep dive, sitting right on the reef south of Hat Cay, but the wreck itself is quite substantial. We like how the coral has really taken hold, transforming the old hull into a living structure. You'll find plenty of snapper, grunts, and even some barracuda hanging around the superstructure, making it a good spot for photography or just an easy, relaxed exploration dive. It’s a nice change of pace from the typical wall dives and a good option for divers who appreciate a wreck that's fully integrated into the reef system.
