Why dive here
With 168+ marine species recorded in the area - including barracuda, orcas, sea turtles, whale sharks and pufferfish - Chimneys offers some of Roatán's richest pinnacle diving. Water ranges 27-30°C, warmest August, September, October.
The Chimneys site lives up to its name, featuring several large coral pinnacles riddled with swim-throughs and small caves. We usually find schools of jacks and snapper here, often with a turtle or two cruising by. The real fun is navigating the tight squeezes and shafts of light. It’s a site for divers who enjoy exploring unique topography.
