Christophers Coral - Roatán

Gotham is one of those Sodwana sites we love to push for advanced divers, especially if you’re comfortable with a bit of current and have deep or XR certs. It’s a proper wall dive, dropping to 34 metres where it meets the sand. We usually find ourselves drifting along, keeping an eye out into the blue for bigger pelagics. We’ve seen Zambies here, plenty of bull sharks and blacktips, sometimes even hammerheads. They often circle back as you ascend, which is a real treat. The wall itself is great, covered in starflower corals and home to big schools of fusiliers. Look out for whitespotted whiprays resting on the sand, and the occasional great barracuda hanging in the current. Visibility averages around 15 metres, but it can kick up to 20 on a good day, making that deep blue even more inviting. It’s a site that demands respect, but rewards you with an unfiltered taste of Sodwana’s wild side.
