Fish Bowl - Roatán

Kisima Mungu, "God’s Well," is a proper charmer of a site, and we love hitting it up when we’re in Diani. It’s a gently sloping fringing reef, really more of a shelf that drops to around 16m. What makes it special? The sheer density of some species here. We've seen schools of Silver Moonies so thick you feel like you’re swimming through a shimmering curtain. Keep an eye out for the Orange-lined Triggerfish, they’re often pottering about the coral heads. We think it’s a brilliant site for newer divers, or for anyone who wants a relaxed dive without battling strong currents. You’ll drift along, spotting Small Giant Clams tucked into the reef, and often a Sleek Unicornfish or two gliding past. We’ve had some cracking encounters with Golden Trevally here, sometimes circling in the bluer water just off the main reef. It’s a site that rewards slow exploration, looking under ledges for Ghost Cardinalfish or watching the comical Striped Catfish foraging on the sand patches. For a chill dive with plenty of common reef action, Kisima Mungu is our pick in the Diani area.
