Laguna Beach - Roatán

Mwana Wa Mwana, "baby of the baby" in Swahili, has a charm that goes beyond its name. It’s a local favorite, and we understand why. This isn’t a grand, wall-diving kind of spot; it’s a gentle, shallow reef, topping out at 14m, perfect for taking your time. We always find something interesting tucked away here. The real draw here for us is the macro life. We’ve spent whole dives just combing the seagrass beds and coral patches for the small stuff. Look closely for seahorses swaying in the gentle surge – they're surprisingly common. We’ve also had fantastic luck with cuttlefish displaying their hypnotic colour changes, and nudibranchs in every colour imaginable crawling over the coral. The occasional scorpionfish or lionfish might glide past, but it’s the smaller, more intricate residents that make this site sing. Visibility averages around 12m, which is perfectly adequate for this kind of intimate exploration. It suits divers who appreciate a slower pace and the reward of discovering hidden creatures rather than big pelagics.
