Mandy’s Eel Garden - Roatán

Park Reef, just a short boat ride from Punta Cana, is a gentle introduction to Caribbean diving. We like it for newer open water divers, especially those still getting comfortable with buoyancy. The maximum depth of 13m keeps things relaxed, letting you focus on the coral-covered rock formations. We’ve seen plenty of the usual suspects here – snapper, angelfish, and parrotfish flitting around – and if you’re lucky, an eagle ray might glide past in the 16m average visibility. It’s not going to blow your mind with massive pelagics, but for a chill dive with some healthy reef life, it’s a solid pick.
