Why dive here
With 351+ marine species recorded in the area - including barracuda, bull sharks, dolphins, eagle rays and giant moray eels - Boca del Drago offers some of Coiba National Park's richest reef diving.
Boca del Drago offers a gentle drift along a sloping reef, good for those still building confidence in currents. We often spot white-tip reef sharks cruising the deeper sections and rays on the sandy bottom. Visibility can vary, especially after heavy rain, but it’s generally a relaxed dive with consistent opportunities to see larger pelagics moving through.
