Why dive here
With 382+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, eagle rays, giant moray eels, humpback whales and sperm whales - Amazing Maze offers some of Kadavu & Great Astrolabe Reef's richest diving.
Amazing Maze lives up to its name, a network of swim-throughs and shallow coral canyons just off Kadavu. It's a relaxed dive, topping out at 19 metres, making it a good spot for newer divers to practice buoyancy control without feeling rushed. We've spent a good hour here just drifting through the formations, poking around for nudibranchs and watching small reef fish dart between the coral heads. It’s not a drift dive, so you can really take your time exploring the different nooks and crannies. A good afternoon option when you're looking for something calm after a more energetic morning dive.
