Why dive here
With 382+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, eagle rays, giant moray eels, humpback whales and sperm whales - Golden Dream offers some of Kadavu & Great Astrolabe Reef's richest reef diving.
Golden Dream lives up to its name if you’re looking for a relaxed reef dive. Dropping to a comfortable 21 meters, it’s a gentle introduction to the Astrolabe for newer divers or a lovely second dive for anyone. We’ve found the currents here are usually mild, letting you drift along slowly, watching the schools of surgeonfish graze and bright anthias flit in and out of the soft corals. Keep an eye out for a passing eagle ray, they sometimes cruise by in the blue. It’s a site for easy exploration and enjoying the quieter side of the reef.
