Mount Mutiny (Hi8) - Kadavu & Great Astrolabe Reef

Mount Mutiny, often called Hi8 by the locals, is a solid pinnacle dive just off Kadavu. It’s not one of those dramatic, deep drops, but rather a robust, coral-covered seamount that tops out around 24 meters. We've seen a good mix of pelagics here, often grey reef sharks cruising by the deeper sections, and the usual suspects of reef fish flitting amongst the hard corals. It’s a comfortable intermediate dive, good for knocking the rust off or for a relaxed afternoon drift. The currents can pick up, so pay attention to the briefing, but that's usually when the bigger stuff comes out to play.
