Nalova pass - Kadavu & Great Astrolabe Reef

Nalova Pass is a good introduction to drift diving in Kadavu, a nice easy pace for those getting comfortable with currents. It’s shallow, only 16m at its deepest, which means plenty of light for the coral. You’ll just glide along, carried by the gentle push of the tide, watching fusiliers stream past. We often see reef sharks here, not in huge numbers, but always a welcome sight. It’s a solid pick for beginners, not too demanding, and a relaxed way to spend an hour.
