Nursery - Kadavu & Great Astrolabe Reef

The Nursery, true to its name, feels like a sheltered haven for new arrivals. Dropping down to a maximum of 14 metres, it’s a gentle introduction to Kadavu’s reef system, perfect for those getting comfortable with their buoyancy or just easing back into diving. We often find juvenile reef fish darting between the soft corals here, like tiny electric-blue damselfish and parrotfish just starting to show their adult colours. It’s a good spot for macro enthusiasts too, with nudibranchs and flatworms often tucked away if you take your time to look. Don't expect dramatic drop-offs or roaring currents, but for a relaxed, easy dive, it’s a solid choice.
