With 382+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, eagle rays, giant moray eels, humpback whales and sperm whales - Pandora’s Box offers some of Kadavu & Great Astrolabe Reef's richest diving.
Pandora’s Box is a good spot for easing into Kadavu's diving, especially if you’re new to reef exploration. At a maximum depth of 19m, it’s comfortable and offers plenty of time to really soak in the coral structures. We’ve found it’s usually fairly calm here, allowing you to drift along and spot smaller reef fish darting between the soft corals. It's a gentle introduction to the Great Astrolabe, a pleasant dive without any big surprises, which is sometimes exactly what you want after a long journey.
